Spring Chick Bento Box Recipe


Japanese mothers often use mini, frozen food items like croquettes or pork cutlets in their kids bento lunches. Here's a cute idea to transform an ordinary mini-cutlet into a spring chick. Use raw spaghetti as an edible pick to attach the corn kernel beak. Add dots of nori seaweed for eyes and ham for the cheeks. Quarter a yellow cherry tomato for the wings. This is great for spring or Easter. Zigzag cut a couple of boiled quail eggs for accent. Fill the rest with what you like.
