Here's something I've never seen before! It's an eel omelet bento box. The idea of eating Japanese eel(unagi) might seem squimish, but eel is one of the most delicious Japanese dishes. It's a delicate white fish that doesn't taste fishy at all. It's really the sauce that makes it great. It's charcoal broiled and dipped in a soy based sauce. People don't usually cook unagi at home, but buy it at restaurants or pre-cooked at supermarkets. This bento chef cut the cooked unagi into bite-sized pieces and fried it in an omelet and placed it on top of the rice with diced green onion rounds. What a fabulous and delicious idea.
